Please Note

Orion has made the difficult decision to close our warehouse facility in the Netherlands. With the continuing supply chain/logistics challenges and slowness in the economy we have found that it is not economically feasible to maintain operations in the UK and Europe.

We have therefore stopped taking orders on this website. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We will continue to have Orion dealers in Europe to meet the needs of Orion consumers. We will also continue to honor the 30-Day product return period as well as honoring the Orion warranty for purchases made in the UK and Europe.

Our US-based Customer Service Representatives are here to help. Contact them via email at support@telescope.com or in the United Kingdom, via phone at 0-800-041-8146 (Monday-Friday between the hours of 1300 and 2400 GMT).

Not only do you get our top-notch 10" aperture Classic Dobsonian reflector in this telescope kit, you also get a great assortment of useful accessories too, all for one low price! The XT10 Classic Dobsonian will amaze you with big, bright views and simple, point-and-view operation. The included Orion Shorty 2x Barlow Lens doubles the magnification of any 1.25" telescope eyepiece, and the Orion Beginning Stargazer's Toolkit is packed with great reference materials and tools so you can easily get the most out of your telescope. The SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian brings a "new level of joy to simple observing" as Astronomy magazine raved, thanks to its synthesis of big aperture optics and uncomplicated operation. It's jumbo, 10" (254mm) diameter parabolic primary mirror gathers a ton of light from the night sky, so you can see more objects than you would with an 8" or smaller telescope. What's more, the XT10 Classic Dobsonian reflector telescope's big mirror yields exceptionally bright views with high contrast.

The XT10 Classic is refreshingly easy to use thanks to its simple, "point-and-view" Dobsonian design. Instead of a more complex tripod and mount foundation, which can be a nuisance to setup and balance, the SkyQuest XT10 reflector optical tube is supported by a sturdy wooden base. This base is what makes the XT10 Classic telescope a Dobsonian reflector by name, as the first such design was made by ingenious "sidewalk astronomer" John Dobson. Just set the XT10 Classic Dobsonian base down where you want to observe, bring out the reflector optical tube, and securely couple the tube to the base using the CorrecTension springs. That's it! You're ready to take the family on inspiring and educational celestial adventures exploring the planets, Moon, and a myriad of deep-sky treasures such as nebulas, star clusters, and galaxies. The Orion XT10 Classic Dobsonian can give you deep-space thrills without deep-pocket frills. We've kept our 10" Classic Dobsonian lean and mean to keep its price low for tight budgets. But rest assured; the XT10 Classic Dobsonian reflector comes fully equipped for adventure right out of the box, whether you're a beginning stargazer or are graduating to a larger, more capable telescope.

Orion CorrecTension springs make setup easy and keep the telescope balanced.
The Dobsonian base supports the 10" reflector optical tube handily, and Orion CorrecTension springs help keep the tube in perfect balance while also providing secure attachment to the base. Non-stick PTFE and UHMW bearings provide buttery smooth motion in both altitude (up/down) and azimuth (left/right) axes, as you move the telescope from object to object. A convenient carrying handle on the base makes transport to your favorite observing site nice and easy

Dial-in celestial details with the smooth and accurate 2" Crayford focuser.
The SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian features a 2" Crayford focuser with a removable step-down adapter so you can use both 1.25" and 2" telescope eyepieces. The Crayford mechanism ensures all focus adjustments are smooth, accurate, and virtually free of backlash and flexure, even with heavier 2" accessories installed, so you can achieve precise focus easily. You'll be amazed by the buttery-smooth focus adjustment as you explore the night sky.

The included Orion EZ Finder II red-dot sight makes it easy to aim the telescope.
Following a simple alignment procedure, you can use the EZ Finder II sight to accurately aim the SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian telescope at objects in the sky like the Moon and bright planets. Once aligned with the telescope, just turn on the EZ Finder II and peer through the sight's small circular viewing window so you see the red dot, and move the telescope until the red dot is on the object you want to see. Look in the telescope eyepiece, and the object will be there!

Explore the night sky with the included 25mm Sirius Plossl Eyepiece.
The included 1.25" Orion 25mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece provides a 48-power view when used with the SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian. Offering a wide 52° apparent field of view, the 25mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece yields extremely sharp, high-contrast images that will impress night after night. You can expand your magnification options by purchasing additional 1.25" or larger 2" wide-angle eyepieces of different focal lengths. (Additional eyepieces sold separately.)

The extra accessories in this value-packed telescope kit will enhance your stargazing experiences.
Use the Shorty 2x Barlow lens to double the magnification of the included 25mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece and enjoy a 96-power view, or use it to double the power of other 1.25" eyepieces. Use the included MoonMap 260 to properly identify lunar features seen through the telescope. Read the included Orion Telescope Observer's Guide book to learn how to locate and observe over sixty interesting objects to explore in the telescope. Use the Star Target Planisphere to see what constellations and objects will be visible on any day of the year. The RedBeam Mini flashlight makes it easy to refer to charts and books while observing, and it helps you see small parts and knobs without disrupting dark-adapted vision. The big SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dob also includes a quick collimation cap for easy mirror alignment, and dust caps for the reflector telescope tube and focuser.

Enjoy fantastic views with the Orion SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian Telescope Kit - and fantastic savings too!
