This value-packed bundle includes a handy field tripod, which is adjustable with a height range of 20" to 34.5" so you can position the SkyScanner 100mm reflector comfortably for viewing without a table. The tripod also features an extendable elevator column for crowd-pleasing performance.
The Orion StarMax 90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain and Tripod Bundle also includes a high-power 6.3mm eyepiece, which provides a very powerful, 198x view in the 1250mm focal length 90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope for high-magnification views of lunar crater details, bright planets, star clusters, and more. This ultra-compact Mak-Cass gives surprisingly big views for an instrument of its modest size, making it an elegant first telescope or a great grab-and-go second telescope!
The long, 1250mm (f/13.8) focal length gives the StarMax 90 TableTop some serious magnifying power - the included 25mm and 10mm 1.25" Super 3-element eyepieces yield powers of 50x and 125x, respectively. What's more, the included 6.3mm eyepiece provides a staggering 198x power view. The 90mm aperture Maksutov-Cassegrain collects over 25% more light than its GoScope 80 cousin, and up to 225% more light than a 60mm refractor telescope.
