The versatile Orion ED66 CF Refractor features fully multi-coated FPL-51 ED glass optics, a dual-speed Crayford focuser, and a carbon fiber optical tube. The extra-low dispersion (ED) optics provide exquisite, true-color views for amazing optical performance. You'll be impressed by the ED66's performance under starry skies as you enjoy crisp, true-color views of the Moon and planets. Thanks to the included 45-degree diagonal, you can use the ED66 during the day to obtain views of earthbound objects and scenery. The carbon fiber telescope tube is lighter and more thermally stable than metal to deliver crisp views even when temperatures fluctuate. A Crayford focuser provides dual-speed focus control to dial in fine details of celestial and terrestrial targets. An included 14mm focal length, 1.25" wide-field 65-deg eyepiece yields 29x magnification. Includes hard carry case.

Thanks to its carbon fiber construction, the included Orion Tritech CFX Tripod is about 30% lighter than metal tripods of similar size. Plus, the carbon fiber tripod legs also dampen vibrations more effectively compared to metal tripods for steadier performance. The Tritech CFX tripod legs boast three extendable sections with robust flip-lever leg locks for fast setup, takedown, and length adjustments. Each tripod leg can be set at four different angle positions for optimal setup on any terrain. On top of the tripod sits a sturdy machined aluminum fluid pan-head with three axes of motion and two twist-lock handle grips for exceptionally smooth control. Includes a fully padded soft carry case with shoulder strap.
